Santo Domingo square opens a broad space at the end of Calle Mayor. San Ginés presides with a forceful façade framed by substantial buttresses. Interrupted construction left the church smaller than planned. Inside, look for funerary sculptures, then consider a break near Concordia park before returning towards the old town.
Sources checked on 18 October 2026. Opening and access may change. The walk does not include admission; allow extra time for interiors. Routes have not been audited for accessibility.

Compare forms of funerary memory
Municipal information distinguishes praying founder sculptures from tombs moved from Tendilla. If visible inside, compare poses and placement before looking for every name. A work’s presence here does not mean it was created for this building: relocation is also part of heritage history.
Choose the continuation from Santo Domingo
The square connects Calle Mayor with the Concordia area. Use it to decide between returning towards the centre and taking a break in the walk. If you enter the church, respect worship and marked areas. Do not assume close access to funerary monuments merely because a tourist description mentions them. Outside, the façade’s large supports can be observed without depending on admission.
