The palace adds a domestic story to the monument walk. This Baroque house, known as the home of Espartero and Jacinta Martínez de Sicilia, now forms part of the regional museum. Compare its historic façade with the cultural collections within. Check opening and exhibitions before entering: the museum normally closes on Mondays and certain holidays, so arrange your visit accordingly.

Plan this visit

Choose one question among the rooms

The museum plan distinguishes Roman domestic life, beliefs and economy. We suggest choosing one thread and comparing two objects using their labels: where they were found, their purpose and what the evidence supports. This is more useful than treating the chronology as a checklist to complete.

Collection and programmed activity are different plans

Check museum information and distinguish an independent visit from workshops or themed tours. An old announcement does not guarantee repetition. The historic building and exhibition rooms also offer two observation scales; allow time for both if interested, without assuming every object illustrated in a leaflet is currently displayed.
