A day children can enjoy

Start with part of María Luisa Park and Plaza de España. There is no need to cover the whole park: find shade for a break and leave time to return. On hot days, shorten the walk and bring water.

Choose one visit before leaving

The Aquarium can fill part of the day; check tickets, access and age conditions. For heritage, the Alcázar combines gardens and interiors but admission needs planning. Avoid booking several visits back to back without meal and rest breaks.

Pushchairs, heat and the return journey

Central streets can be cobbled and busy. Check your route when travelling with a pushchair and ask each venue about accessibility. Locate return transport beforehand rather than improvising a long walk in afternoon heat.
