After studying façades, slow down in the park. Find shade and allow a rest, especially with children or after a sea crossing. Use paths and respect planted areas. Check entrances and daily notices: an urban park does not guarantee every facility is available at all times.

Plan this visit

A garden with a memory of water

The park occupies land associated with the former Río de Oro channel. This transformation shifts attention from the history of buildings to the history of urban ground: consider how a city changes when it gives an open space a new purpose. Inside, alternate a long view along the paths with a close look at a tree canopy to vary the scale of the visit.

Two aims for a pause

Choose the bandstand as an architectural focus or the pond surroundings to examine planting composition. Select one before entering and turn your rest into a brief exploration without identifying every species. After the walls, the park works as an independent part of the day; before the Ensanche, it prepares attention to forms and materials.
