Two visits coexist here: the work of painter Manuel López-Villaseñor and the historic house containing it. Hernán Pérez del Pulgar’s former residence leads from public streets to courtyards and domestic-scale rooms. Notice how paintings are framed and architecture shapes the route. There is no need to recognise every work: choose one and compare composition, figures and colour. Confirm which rooms and temporary exhibitions are available before visiting.

Plan this visit
Do not look for a chronology that is absent
The council explains that the works are not arranged chronologically, following the painter’s wishes. Choose a visual theme, such as figures, objects or colour, and compare two paintings. This creates your own reading without interpreting every room change as a different stage of his career.
The house is part of the visit too
The entrance moves from a former carriage passage to a courtyard combining stone and wood. Before focusing on paintings, notice this change of scale and how rooms are arranged around it. Then allocate time between the collection and temporary exhibition. Confirm the programme and available rooms: an activity advertised for another date does not guarantee the same route during your visit.
